About Blue Radical P-01
Blue Radical P-01 has been approved by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare as a medical device used for periodontal treatment, and it works by combining 3% hydrogen peroxide with a 405 nm blue laser to generate reactive species (radicals) that act on bacteria within periodontal pockets.
It is also designed to be used together with ultrasonic scaling (tartar removal). Even in cases where periodontal disease has progressed, such as treatment at advanced stages (Stage III / IV), the device can approach deeper areas of the periodontal pocket and be offered as a non-surgical periodontal treatment that does not require incisions or sutures.
