The benefits of getting an allergy test

The prevalence of allergies in Japan is hay fever (cedar pollen allergy), with approximately 2 in 3-1 people*, about 3 in 4 to 1 people suffer from allergic rhinitis*It is said that one in two people (about 50%) in Japan suffers from some kind of allergy, and this rate is especially high in urban areas.
For this reason, it is important for many people to undergo allergy testing, and the specific benefits include the following:

1. Identify the cause of allergies

It can clarify the cause of allergy symptoms (sneezing, runny nose, itchy skin, coughing, difficulty breathing, etc.). For example, it can identify which allergens (pollen, dust mites, food, animals, etc.) are causing the symptoms.*You can determine whether it is affecting you through testing.

  • Substances that cause allergies

2.Appropriate measures can be taken

Once you know your allergens, you can take specific measures to avoid them. For example, if you have hay fever, you can avoid going outside on days when there is a lot of pollen, or if you have a food allergy, you can avoid foods that are dangerous to you.

3. You can decide on a treatment plan

Once your allergies are identified, treatment appropriate to your allergies (choice of oral medication, immunotherapy, etc.) can be determined.

4.It can prevent severe allergic reactions.

If you have a risk of anaphylactic shock, such as a food allergy or drug allergy, you can take appropriate measures by being tested in advance and identifying the risk, thereby preventing serious allergic reactions.

⑤It can clarify whether you have an allergy or not

Allergy symptoms can be similar to those of a cold or other illness, so it's possible to confirm whether allergies are truly the cause. For example, there are cases where chronic rhinitis is actually allergic rhinitis. Even if you think you have allergies, but aren't sure, getting tested can help clarify whether allergies are the cause of your symptoms.

What is the "View39 Allergy Test"?

Our clinic's "Full Allergy Test Set" includes the "View39 Allergy Test." "View39" is a type of allergy test that uses a blood test to simultaneously check for 39 types of allergens. While the causes of allergies vary from person to person, View39 includes allergies that many people suffer from, making it a test with a high chance of identifying the cause of your allergies.
