Tokyo Midtown Advanced Medical Research Institute: Identification of a biomarkers to predict treatment efficacy - Joint clinical research paper on immunochemotherapy for unresectable pancreatic cancer published in the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer

In a clinical study of "WT1-targeted immunochemotherapy for unresectable pancreatic cancer," conducted by the Jikei University School of Medicine in collaboration with the Tokyo Midtown Advanced Medical Research Institute (our facility), Osaka University, Kanazawa Medical University, and Juntendo University, research results identifying candidate biomarkers were announced that could predict treatment efficacy.

This study was a study of immunochemotherapy for inoperable pancreatic cancer (stage 3 or 4) devised and conducted by Dr. Shigeo Koido, then professor of gastroenterology and hepatology at the Jikei University School of Medicine, and clarified predictive factors for treatment effectiveness through analysis of long-term survivors.

A paper on this research has been published online in the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer. Our facility is collaborating in this joint clinical research project, including the production of the Neo-WT1 dendritic cell vaccine used in this therapy.
