Due to the recent aging of society, more people have ARMD. Macula is the area of the center of the retina which is the most important area for vision. A patient who has this disease can see only the bending line when he sees the straight line because of the degeneration of the macula. In a severe case they lose the sight of the central visual field because of bleedings a couple of times at the macula caused by neovascularization. ARMD is the first cause for loss of sight in western countries, and the 3 rd in Japan.

Our macula has been exposed to the ultra-violet light and visible blue light for many decades　 in our life, and also is easily influenced by arteriosclerosis because it is a place with less blood stream circulating. Recently, it is said that harmful heavy metals such as lead (Pb) and arsenic (As) causes ARMD.

In Japan, Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) has been approved as a remedy for ARMD several years ago. Although I have a license of PDT, I can hardly recommend you this therapy because heavy bleeding may happen on 1/4 ratio after this therapy, and your visual acuity may become worse. A new therapy injecting anti- neovascularization drug into the eyes emerged recently. This therapy has little risk, so we will use it in proper cases. Both therapies attack the neovascularization, but do not solve the original reason of developing neovascularization.

In lighter cases, the visual acuity can recover with supplements including Lutein and Zinc (Zn). In severe cases, we recommend Chelation Therapy in addition to anti- neovascularization drugs. Chelation Therapy is remarkable fundamental therapy for curing arteriosclerosis in our blood vessels. It is a rather new therapy around the world.

"Chelation Therapy"

Nowadays the cause of arteriosclerosis assumes harmful heavy metals such as lead (Pb), arsenic (As) and mercury (Hg). Therefore, if we can remove harmful heavy metals from our blood vessels or body, “we can cure arteriosclerosis!”
Chelation is a drug which has been used for the therapy of chemical poisoning by agricultural chemical or industrial waste water effluent including harmful heavy metals.
In the United States, Chelation is used for patients who have Myocardial Infarction caused by arteriosclerosis. Consequently, 90% of patients were planning to have a Bypass Operation recovered amazingly to the condition that they did not need to conduct the Bypass Operation.

The causes of ARMD are recognized as the accumulation of harmful heavy metals such as lead (Pb) and arsenic (As) at macula, and arteriosclerosis. Therefore, Chelation Therapy removes fundamental causes. As an additional effect, Chelation Therapy lowers blood sugar level down to the normal status.
Thus, we recommend you Chelation Therapy as the fundamental remedy of ARMD.
