Tokyo Midtown Clinic (Board director: Toshiomi Kusano, Minato-ku, Tokyo) was reaccredited by Joint Commission International (Ambulatory Care Program), the internationally recognized health care accredited organization, on December 15, 2017.
Our clinic is the first health care facility, which provides outpatient care, general and comprehensive health screening services, to be awarded such an accreditation in Japan. The departments reaccredited are as follows.

Since the establishment of our clinic in 2007, we have put our efforts into safeguarding patient safety and quality improvement in order to provide world-class medical care in accordance with our vision: ""To provide medical treatment of an international standard"".
We consider that the reaccreditation by JCI (Ambulatory Care Program), where international standards of care were rigorously evaluated, was one of the crucial milestones in order to achieve our vision. Through our activities for continuous improvement, we will endeavor to improve medical safety and quality care in order to provide a safe health care to our patients and will be dedicated to offer medical treatment of an international standard.
JCI is the international arm of The Joint Commission, the leading health care accreditor in the United States, which was founded in 1994.
JCI has been providing training, consultation, international accreditation, and certification to medical facilities around the world, aiming at continual improvement on quality of care and patient safety.
In 2005, the World Health Organization (WHO) designated the Joint Commission International as the world's first and only Collaboration Center for promotion of patient safety.
The accreditation standards of JCI for ambulatory care program are made up of 15 sections, consisting of 600 measurable elements, which are examined comprehensively during the on-site survey.

JCI accreditation serves as an indicator that the medical facility meets the international standards on ""patient safety"" and ""quality of care"".
